Meet Sandra Your Speech-language Pathologist
Speech-language pathologists (S-LPs) are regulated health professionals who have a master’s degree in speech-language pathology. Sandra Feduszczak, Speech-Language Pathologist and co-founder of the Speech Studio has 15 years’ experience working with the paediatric population.
Sandra brings a unique skill set to our families at the Speech Studio having worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient/
clinical settings with high risk medically fragile infants and children; the neonatal population both in the NICU and Neonatal follow-up clinics, as well as children with traumatic brain injury, complex medical and developmental needs.
Sandra also worked for the Early Intervention Program of Ontario for 7 years servicing children birth to 5 years of age. She then relocated to Grand Cayman in 2014 where she has worked in both the private sector and with the Cayman Islands Department of Education.
Sandra can’t wait to work with your family with a focus on early identification, prevention, evaluation and management of your child’s speech, language and communication difficulties.
Meet Ashleen Your Speech-language Pathology Assistant
Communication health assistants are specifically trained to provide clinical services under the supervision of a speech-language pathologist (S-LP). Ashleen Parker, your Speech-Pathology Assistant and co-founder of the Speech Studio offers your family a comprehensive, family integrated therapy approach.
After she completed a Bachelor of Science degree specializing in Communication Disorders, Ashleen worked directly with children and families in the Cayman Islands for 5 years as the Speech Pathology Assistant with the Department of Education. Ashleen is a family-centered and highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant. She is adept at working with a variety of speech and language difficulties and provides specialized therapeutic services at the Speech Studio. Furthermore, Ashleen is working towards the newly implemented American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) certification for Speech Language Pathologist – Assistants (SLP-As).
Ashleen is looking forward to supporting your family in the following ways:
- Providing therapy under the direct/indirect supervision of an S-LP
- Programming and creating augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) resources
- Preparing materials for use in assessment, therapy, home programs and classrooms

Infant Development Services Birth – 12 months
Our Infant Development Services support our youngest clients and their families. Infants and their families receive support from Speech Studio from the start focusing on early identification of communication development. Families are provided with strategies to facilitate parent-infant interactions which aims to establish the foundation for the development of an infant’s communication and cognitive skills.

Early Years Services 12 months – 5 years
Our Early Years services support our toddlers and preschoolers in receiving early intervention. Families are supported from the first moment that they reach out to Speech Studio, as an integral and active member of their child’s therapy team. Our team works with your family to best give your child the support they need to be successful communicators. Our Early Years Services target the following speech and language development areas:

School Years Services 5 yrs +
Our School Years services offers services for all children and youth with speech and language needs from school entry to school exit. School Years services will support your child and family with your child’s communication needs. Services could include resources for caregivers, education workshops, individualized therapy services.
